From black-and-white and formal to warm, colorful, and inviting. This house in Vught was built just a few years ago and was technically “finished,” but the stark black-and-white color palette didn’t suit the new owners. Their wish: a warm, playful family home that immediately feels cheerful. We retained the layout and built layers of warmth with basic hues on walls and ceilings, complemented by rich materials and various textures. Within this foundation, we blend geometric patterns with organic shapes. Upholstery in silk, linen, and velvet adds extra softness. The result: less serious, more fun. A family home that makes you smile the moment you enter.
